Band Booster Committees

 

CHS Band Parents and Alumni: Interested in serving on a Band Booster Committee?  Please complete this form. You may sign up for as many committees as you like. Our goal is to have parents of all grade levels involved in every committee. Once all parents have completed this form you will be contacted about committee assignments.

Equipment

Load, unload and transport equipment for Marching Band, Concert Band, and Indoor Drum Line/Winter Guard. Drive equipment truck in and out of town.

Chaperones

Supervise Band students on day and overnight trips in Charlottesville and out of town.

Uniforms

Fit, distribute, organize and arrange cleaning of Marching Band and Concert Band uniforms.

Fundraising

Hospitality

Organize/provide pizza dinner before 2-3 home football games and district assessment; organize/provide post-concert refreshments for fall/winter, assessment preview and spring concerts at CHS.

 

Indoor Groups

Chaperone and help with equipment/driving truck for indoor drum line and winter guard season.

Community Outreach/Promotion/Social Media

Promote the Band within Charlottesville City Schools, in the wider community, and on social media; take and post photographs to Band website and Facebook page.

Buford Liason

7th and 8th grade parents to share information and coordinate with CHS Band Boosters about activities such as fundraisers, shared trips, performances and middle to high school transition.
