Compete at Cavalcade

Saturday, October 1

Registration Fee: $100

The Charlottesville High School Marching Band is pleased to invite your band to participate in the 34th Cavalcade. The Cavalcade possesses a rich tradition of superior musical performances and is one of the premier marching band competitions in central Virginia. The 34th Cavalcade will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 with around a noon start time to be determined by the number of bands. The 2022 Cavalcade competition will be limited to the first 30 bands that apply. A link to the registration form is attached for your convenience.

The 2022 Cavalcade is once again a VMBC-affiliated event. This means we have some of the most knowledgeable judges around, using VMBC scoring sheet and captions. Plus this gives bands that plan to participate in the VMBC Regional or Invitational a chance to be on those sheets earlier in the year.

The Cavalcade will take place in Charlottesville High School’s turfed football stadium. Judges will have a commanding view of the entire field of performance from the 3,000 person capacity home grandstand.
