Good Afternoon Band Family!
Whew! What a weekend. The sun always seems to shine a little brighter the Sunday after the Cavalcade. A huge thank you to all the student and parent volunteers who made the weekend a smashing success. A special thank you to Rob and Mary Cook for organizing and running the parent side of things this year and to John Naegle for organizing and running the equipment transportation throughout the event. Truely a herculean effort by all. This week should prove to be a brief respite from all the action, but there is still some work to be done.
AVJE auditions are going on virtually right now. Get those in.
UVA Seat Clean up tomorrow morning
Pulling off both UVA seat sales and Cavalcade shows a special commitment from students and parents, thanks again.
The only way it was possible was to move seat clean up to tomorrow from 4:30-6:30pm

Homecoming Football game
This Friday night is the Homecoming Football game for CHS.
This means that we will not be marching our halftime show and we are there to support the school and the team throughout the evening.
We will have rehearsal that evening from 4-5:15, eat at 5:15 then head down to the game
We are trying something new this year to reward our senior marchers. Seniors in good standing that aren’t captains or drum majors may choose to take the evening off and go to the game.

Afternoon game: Call time is 1:00pm and we should be finished by 4:30pm
Itinerary for Stafford competition 10/19
Since this is the night of the Homecoming dance we will be sending a bus (or two) home early. If you are going to the Homecoming dance that night please fill out this form
We have 2 weeks to Stafford, 3 weeks to Powhatan, and 4 weeks till States! Almost there. Keep working, keep taking the next step.
