Good Evening Band Family!
I still find it hard to believe that tomorrow is the first day of leadership camp. I have a lot of info for you today and hope to answer most of your questions.
Leadership Camp
Mon-Thurs at the CHS Band Room from noon-3pm
This camp is for any returning member wishing to be a part of the leadership team
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that you can move in that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Instrument rental/Band Dues
If you need an instrument for the school year/marching season, I will be at the band room on Monday July 22nd from 3-4:30pm.
Instrument Rental is $100
Band Dues are $200
Rookie Band Parent Information Night
New to the marching band family? Come to our rookie band parent information night (returning members also welcome).
Sunday night July 28th at 6:30pm at the high school band room
If you can’t make the evening presentation, you can come to the one on Monday, July 29th at 9:30am while the kids are learning to march.
UVA Seat Install
Marching Band, and really all band activities(spring trip), can get expensive.
The best way to help pay for camp is to come work at one of the UVA Seat Installs, Seat Sales, Seat Uninstall.
Last year, students earned over $13,500 in their band ledgers and multiple students earned over $500.
We will need a lot of volunteers to help with the install, and a sign up genius will go out if you wish to help. Every member of a family can help earn money for a student’s ledger.
Full Camp
Full camp starts next week on July 29th at the High School Band room from 8:30am-4pm.
You should expect to receive a separate email concerning both Full Camp and UVA Seat Install later this week.
